 IMPROV

Giggle...Ha Ha... Optimistic...Laugh Out Loud... Spontaneous... Silly... Free Spirit...Hugs
GELOTOLOGY: From the Greek word Gelos, meaning laughter, is the study of laughter and its effects on the mind, body, and spirit from a psychological and physiological perspective. In this workshop we meet at the historical landmark, the Hollywood Improv where many famous comedians like Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfield have been on this magical stage and millions laugh.

The Improv was the place to see Richard Pryor, Bette midler, Jay Leno and others when they were just starting out. Dustin Hoffman played piano there. Often famous comedians would walk in to "work out" before appearances on the Tonight Show. It was not unusual to find celebrities in the audience.

  FIND OUT WHAT IS FUNNY

Something funny when you snort milk out of your nose-but what makes you laugh? Absurd humor replaces the familiar with the unexpected. Wile E. Coyote chases Road Runner after being smashed by a piano. Superior human like lawyer jokes, rearrange life's hierarchies. In dark humor, you laugh at what scares you.

  TRIGGER LAUGHTER

Our mirror neurons trigger humor by hearing others laugh. Just like yawning, but more fun. Ha! Start smiling when you listen to laugh sounds from the Bachorowski Lab. Ha Ha! Or buy a laughter CD-60 minutes of chuckles. Ha Ha Ha! Great background noise for a party.
